Tabea Wink and Marie Erndl: recorder, Anna Rudolph: baroque cello, Dominik Heidl: harpsichord.

The ensemble Barock_Plus is setting new standards in early music. Within a year, these young musicians have won four international awards, astonishing both juries and audiences with their energetic presence. The "perfectly coordinated ensemble" (Donaukurier) showcases its high virtuosity at the most prestigious early music festivals.

The four artists met in Nuremberg and have since dedicated themselves to interpreting early music in a way that resonates with contemporary audiences. With great enthusiasm, they captivate listeners with innovative concert formats and have appeared multiple times in radio and television productions. Furthermore, they have been invited to the Potsdam Sanssouci Music Festival, the Orginalklang Festival FEL!X at the Cologne Philharmonic, and the International Handel Festival in Göttingen.

In 2023, the ensemble made its sensational debut at the Göttingen Handel Competition, winning first prize. Shortly thereafter, they won second prize at the international Biagio Marini Competition and third prize at the Saarland Radio Promotion Prize. Additionally, Barock_Plus was honored with the Audience Award. In 2024, the ensemble received a scholarship from the German Music Competition "Deutscher Musikwettbewerb" and was included in the Concert Promotion Program of this competition.

The musicians have received artistic guidance from Maurice Steger, Daniel Rosin, Alfredo Bernardini, Jeremias Schwarzer, and Wiebke Weidanz.

Through diverse concert formats, the ensemble reaches a wide audience. Interdisciplinary projects, such as children's concerts and cross-art music education, are integral to the artistic work of these instrumentalists. Their unique arrangements, vibrant instrumentation, and extensive repertoire ranging from Antiquity to the Modern era, are the distinguishing features of this highly acclaimed ensemble.

Duo Energico

The recorder duo "Duo Energico," consisting of Marie Erndl and Tabea Wink, was founded in 2017 and recently won the International ORDA Competition in Amsterdam as well as the "Royal Wind Music Prize." The duo also received a scholarship from the Menuhin Foundation "Live Music Now," which gives them the opportunity to perform concerts in social institutions.

Duo Energico presents a variety of concert programs ranging from the Middle Ages to modern times. They craft their programs with great creativity, paying special attention to versatility in their selection of instruments and repertoire. The two musicians cover all musical periods, from the Middle Ages to the modern era.

Both musicians study at the University of Music Nuremberg under Prof. Jeremias Schwarzer and Prof. Maurice Steger. In 2024, they founded the concert series "Sounds of the Elements" in the Kemenate in Braunschweig.

Ensemble Emergenz

We are an ensemble that brings together various art forms: Marie Erndl and Tabea Wink on sub-bass recorders, and Paul Bießmann, Stefan Popp, and Franz Flemming on drop piano, electronics, and visuals. We improvise and communicate using the sounds of fish, complemented by the drop piano and noises produced in water.

With two Petzold sub-bass recorders, we create sounds that evoke the sea, giving the audience the sensation of diving into the unknown depths of the underwater world. The drop piano is enhanced by sounds we generate using plastic recorders in water. Through live electronics, these sounds are mixed and altered. To complete the underwater experience, we play sounds of marine creatures, where listeners can hear both familiar whale calls and entirely new, rhythmic, almost electronic sounds of communicating fish. The drop piano can precisely release water droplets in various rhythms onto different materials. When a key is pressed, a valve opens and releases water, with the actual sound being created by the material on which the droplets land (e.g., water, metal, or plastic).

At the "International Goodmesh Competition" in The Hague, Netherlands, we won second prize, and our art film was featured at the "JukeBoxx Music Award 2024" during the Short Film Week at the Filmgallerie cinema in Regensburg.
